Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Americold owns and operates 165+ temperature-controlled warehouses in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, China, Argentina, and Canada. Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

 

  1. Promptly answers phone and greets others in a welcoming and helpful manner.
  2. Serves as the primary contact for access badges including the creation, tracking and distribution. Partner with the building/property resources and Human Resources as needed.
  3. Provides administrative support for General Manager, Operations and team members including proofing documents, booking travel, processing expense reports, meeting planning, calendaring/Outlook management, etc.
  4. Receives deliveries and notifies recipients. Sorts and distributes mail and forward to all appropriate parties. Signs for and prepares FedEx packages.
  5. Handles queries from the public and customers, directs individuals to correct contact or destination.
  6. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in daily operations and when handling details of a confidential nature.
  7. Supports requests for general correspondence, reports and projects as directed.
  8. Provides general administrative and clerical support (create files and labels etc.)
  9. Maintains and updates various lists, directories, etc.
  10. Reserves conference rooms and orders catering for company meetings.
  11. Maintains a neat and clean reception area, including coffee area.
  12. Orders supplies as needed.
  13. Requests maintenance service calls as needed.
  14. Provides phone coverage for incoming calls and may serve as back up for other administrators.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education, Training & Professional Experience:

 

  • Minimum education requirement is High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have 2 years of experience in handling daily operations of a reception desk environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), planning, organization, and administrative skills with an ability to communicate with a variety of individuals in person, via phone or in writing.
  • Projects a professional and helpful demeanor at all times.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Accurate typing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional and time sensitive manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
  • Proactive in nature.
  • Must be dependable in nature, with a strong work ethic.
  • A certain degree of latitude is required.

  • Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions
