Primary Responsibility:

The Regional Facility Service Manager is responsible for providng oversight and leadership for all sites in the region. The position will lead Facility Services initiatives & drive improvement by providing mentorship and support to Lead Facility Service Managers (LFSMs) and Facility Service Managers (FSMs) within the Region. The individual must ensure safe, effective, functional facilities while coaching adherence to Americold standards and policies and applicable laws.

Essential Functions:

• Works closely with the LFSMs and FSMs within the region to identify maintenance requirements necessary to ensure efficient and reliable equipment operation.
• Drive improvement in key metrics such as: PM completion rate, scheduled work percentage, equipment down time, energy, budget adherence, PSM compliance and document work percentage.
• Operates as the regional area champion for AOS maturity in Maintenance Excellence, Energy Excellence and Refrigeration Excellence initiatives. 
• Provides guidance for annual maintenance budgets and five year capital planning. 
• Utilizes SAP data to develop maintenance strategies, evaluate site performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. 
• Leads region’s team members in improvement initiatives to include: PM Optimization, Energy Waste Walks, Root Cause Analysis, 6S and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Supports the successful implementation of annual capital plan in the Region.
• Evaluate and provide recommendations for maintenance resources relative to site demands such as: site headcount, scheduling hours, technician skill level, training needs, and maintenance related tools.
• Works with LFSM, FSMs and Facility Services Coordinators (FSC) to ensure site compliance with all OSHA regulations, PSM requirements and Americold policies and procedures. 
• Ensures compliance with mechanical, electrical, fire and all other municipal and state codes.
• Assist in energy conservation initiatives across the region to drive down cost. 
• Act as the regional SME providing support and direction on the operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems. 
• Onboarding, training and mentorship of LFSM and FSM’s in the region. 
• Works with LFSMs and FSMs to ensure the development and execution of training and development plans for the technicians at the sites within the region.
• Ability to prioritize shifting needs within the region. 
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Structural Engineering or related field, is desirable but not required
• Minimum 7 years maintenance management and leadership experience with at least 4-5 years experience scheduling and maintaining a refrigerated warehouse system, material handling, repair, and building maintenance is required
• Experience working within CMMS systems, SAP Preferred
• Experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance Preferred
• Requires a strong knowledge & skill level with NH3 refrigeration system. RETA and CIRO/CARO certifications preferred, but not required
• Strong working knowledge of the OSHA & EPA compliance programs for warehouses using an ammonia refrigeration system is required
• Computer skills should include Excel and Word
• Must be able to work independently and unsupervised
